Port Aransas Nature Preserve
Comprising Charlie’s Pasture, Wetland Park, Joan and Scott Holt Paradise Pond, and Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center, the Port Aransas Nature Preserve safeguards these natural havens. These protected lands serve as vital sanctuaries for hundreds of endangered, threatened, and vulnerable species. They also offer visitors a glimpse into the coastal prairie habitat that once graced the Texas Coast. All sections of the preserve are freely accessible from sunrise to sunset. Visitors are encouraged to respect the trails, carry out any litter, and ensure the preservation of wildlife by refraining from disturbance.
